We started to really appreciate pottery after the parents got into it about 8-years ago.  Pottery is unique in that it can be both a fine art-form and inexpensive at the same time.  This is what motivated us to become collectors over time – gathering a piece here and there as we encountered them during events like The Ceramics Showcase.  I’ve often called pottery the poor man’s collectors item simply because, as a collector myself, even when I couldn’t afford anything else, I could still afford a little bit of pottery.  And now, after years of collecting, we’ve found ourselves with a kitchen full of beautiful artwork that we appreciate and enjoy using and showing!
